Unless you live on the shores of the Mediterranean, for example, it is advisable to keep this “Bébé-arbre®“ inside. Plant it in a pot of sufficient dimensions filled with a well-drained blend to provide sufficient space and nourishment for many a long year.
Place it near a window to ensure the sun's rays shine down directly upon it for part of the day. If this is not possible, use a "solar spectrum" lamp – such as an aquarium lamp, for example – to add extra light.
Always keep the soil moist.
If the climate is mild enough for your palm to live out on a balcony, cover its base with straw in winter for at least the first ten years.
